Herman J. Schellstede & Associates, Inc. holds patents on various horizontal drilling tools.  Most are licensed to drilling companies.  Down hole renewal is a large part of our business.  We are constantly applying the latest technology to our tools.

CUTTINGS BURNER

Herman J. Schellstede, Inc. holds a patent on an oil field cuttings burner.  When the process is complete, the cuttings are environmentally friendly and disposable.

PLATFORM SALVAGE SYSTEM

Herman J. Schellstede & Associates, Inc. have designed and built several platform salvage s ystems.  These systems employ ultra-high fluid pressure as a cutting medium.  Cutting is normally done from the inside out, deep within the platform's legs.  The cut line can be below the water surface or below the ocean bottom.

Herman J. Schellstede & Associates, Inc. have designed and constructed several of the Thin Film Pipe Coating Plants in the U.S.  One of these plants is operating in New Iberia today.  Our design can accommodate pipe from 2" O.D to 48" O.D. The coating can be for underwater, underground, or harsh environment.  We can provide complete services for a fully approved coating plant.

SPECIAL WELDING SYSTEMS

Herman J. Schellstede & Associate, Inc. have provided the design for various type of welding equipment.  We have engineered an Electron Beam welding system for pipeline service, Submerged Arc systems for welding heavy walled tubulars and cutting underwater.

Herman J. Schellstede & Associates, Inc. have been involved in the engineering of special tools for companies and individuals. We have worked from ideas on Level III drawings and ideas from scratch paper.  We can make  your idea happen!
